The 'Pittwater Quilts' 2014 - 2015

For our 2014 end-of-year challenge, we made up fabric kits and asked members to make two blocks each for several quilts to be put together during 2015. The pattern is based on 'Freezeframe', from Judy Laquidara's 2012 book 60 Pieced Quilt Borders: Mix and Match.

We had enough blocks to make 5 small quilts to be donated to foster children and to Sydney Children's Hospital, through Quilts NSW.

The fabric packs started with a generous donation of scrap fabric from Robyn Evans at Patchwork on Pittwater in Mona Vale, supplemented by some from our community stash - thank you Robyn.
